Perry Rhodan follows the ORLA XI to the system Beta Albireo. The K-9 can escape the ORLA XI but is severely damaged by an arriving fleet of Springer-warships that Orlgans called for help. Tiff, Hifield, Eberhardt, Orsons and Kergonen flee the K-9 with a small destroyer space-craft. But they too are attacked and damaged and use up almoust all their energy fleeing from the scene of the fight. They barely manage to land on an icy world the call Snowman near the Beta Albireo system.

There they hide from the scouts of Orlgans. Orlgans intents to capture Tiff on the ice-worl for himself in order to find out about the World Of Infinite Live that he thinks Tiff knows about. So he hurries over to Snowman. Perry Rhodan lets him do so only lying hidden in wait, because he hopes that Tifflor, once captured will be able to find out more about the enemy and then be freed.
